Sherry Trussell

Sherry Lynn Trussell, 48, of Coffeyville, Kansas was called home to Glory on Saturday, April 11, 2015 surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on November 15, 1966 to Ozell and Mable (Adams) Trussell in Coffeyville, Kansas. She was the fifth child of seven. Brothers, Donald and David Trussell and sisters, Debbie Jean, Addie Lee, Michelle and Regina. She was preceded in death by her father, Ozell and sister, Michelle.

Sherry attended elementary school at 81st School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and middle school and high school in Coffeyville, Kansa at McKinley Middle School and Field Kindley Memorial High School. As an adult she moved to Elkhart, IN where she raised her three sons, Kevin Trussell of Elkhart, IN, Dominic Trussell of Coffeyville, Kansas and Patrick Stevens of Joplin, Missouri who she leave behind to cherish and share her memory as well as her grandchildren, Kayden and Kyia, Dominic Jr., Sameric and Marquis, Kinzy, Elijah and Nevaeh as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Sherry was a very hard worker. She worked until the day she couldn't. She was an artist, a seamstress and most of all a loving mother, auntie, grandmother, sister and daughter. She loved to dance and listen to old school music and spoil her grandchildren with lots of love and gifts. She was very loved by her friends and family and she will be missed dearly by all.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. The family will be holding a Memorial Service to celebrate Sherry's life on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Baptist Church at 602 W Martin in Coffeyville, Kansas. Memorial contributions can be made payable to the family; these may also be left with the funeral home.
