Shirley R. (Brady} Marler went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 20, 2026, in Coffeyville, Kansas at Medicalodges on Midland.
Shirley was born in Coffeyville, Ks. on January 15, 1937, to Roy and Louise (Cosby) Brady. She spent her entire life in Coffeyville and attended Coffeyville schools graduating from Field Kindly High School in 1955. She attended and graduated from Coffeyville Junior College in 1957. While attending college she met and upon graduation married Charles H. Marler. They lived their entire married life in Coffeyville and had three children. Charles Jr.; Michael Charles and Jana Jill.
Shirley was a stay-at-home Mother but was active in various service organizations. She was President of the Longfellow PTA two times. Helped with Longfellow Head Start program. Member of Phi Sigma Alpha, West Side Workers home demonstration club. Longtime member of first Baptist Church and member of Mary Martha Sunday School class.
Shirley enjoyed reading mystery books, especially Agatha Christy. She enjoyed singing gospel songs with family and friends for home entertainment. She also enjoyed working jig saw puzzles and her and Charles enjoyed many years of Round Dancing and Square Dancing and playing cards and dining out with friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister and one son. She is survived by her husband of the home and one son Michael, one daughter Jana Jill, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Graveside Services is scheduled for Friday, March 27, 2026, at 10am with Pastor Dick Smith officiating at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville.
