Stephen Kniffen

Stephen Alford Kniffen was born on February 26, 1980 in Hugoton, Kasnas to Bernard Stephen Kniffen and Patricia D. Allison Kniffen. He passed from this life on June 8, 2018 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Stephen grew up in Elgin, attending Sedan Schools. In 1998, he graduated from South High School in Fort Smith, AR. He enjoyed hunting with his Dad and being with his family. He has lived with his mother for the past few years in Coffeyville.

His Mother and Father have donated his organs to save the lives of three people.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason; his maternal grandfather, Cleo Allison; and his paternal grandparents, Merel A. and Mae McFall Kniffen.
Surviving his memory are his Mother, Patricia D. Allison, his father, Bernard Stephen Kniffen of Sedan, maternal grandmother, Vergie Allison of Coffeyville; sisters, Melissa Kniffen of Coffeyville and Katie Kniffen of Sedan.

Memorial service will be held at Sunny Side Cemetery in Caney, Kansas on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 9:00 am with Evangelist David Bycroft officiating. The family has , suggested that donations be made to the family to help defray burial expenses and may be left in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas 67337.
