Susie Gordon

Susie Elaine Gordon, 77, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Susie was born on April 10, 1937 in Edna, Kansas to William and Mable Anna (Bennett) Triebel. She grew up in Edna where she attended school and completed her High School education.

In the late 1980's she was united in marriage to Leon Gordon, the couple made their home in Caney, Kansas. Susie had worked for Western Publishing in Coffeyville for a couple of years. She spent most of her time taking care of her family. She was a wonderful cook, she enjoyed John Wayne movies and absolutely loved to fish. Most of all she enjoyed the time she spent surrounded by her family and friends.

Surviving to honor her memory are her son, Melvin Triebel and girlfriend, Ilene Browning of Coffeyville, Kansas; brother, Dennis Triebel and wife, Karin of Edna, Kansas; sisters, Collen Harris of Columbus, Kansas, Mary Burris and husband, Darrel of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Roberta Balthrope of Dustin, Oklahoma, Catherine Roldan of Coffeyville, Kansas, Ruth Wynn and husband, Paul of Harrisonville, Missouri, Esther Bracken of Duncan, Oklahoma, Nancy Johnson and husband, Richard of Welch, Oklahoma and Donna Bracken and husband, Gary of Ringling, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mable and by her husband, Leon.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the North Edna Elm Grove Cemetery in Edna, Kansas.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. The family will greet friends that evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions can be made payable to the American Cancer Society; these may also be left with the funeral home.
