Tommy Downing, Jr.

Tommy Lee Downing Jr., was born June 13, 1984 in Coffeyville, Kansas to the late Tommy and Marcella Goldsmith Downing. He grew up in Coffeyville and attended Coffeyville Public Schools. Tommy was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the age of 30.

He was preceded in death by his parents Tommy Lee Downing and Marcella Goldsmith Downing, adoptive parents Nathaniel and Carrie Colbert, Grandmother Mabel Cunningham, greatgrandmother Elizabeth Goldsmith, greatgrandfather Leonard Goldsmith, paternal greatgrandfather Brownie Collins, and paternal greatgrandmother Carn Collins greatgrandmother Ethel Mae Hayes and aunt Sylvia Sue Sue Hudnall

He leaves to cherish his memory: children, Tommiyah Unique Downing, Ariel Nicole Downing, and TLii Jmiir Downing of Coffeyville, KS Sisters, Louis Gardner of Tulsa, OK, Demetria Hayes and Marcia Adair both of Coffeyville, KS brothers, Marcus Downing of Pittsburg, KS and Nathaniel Colbert II of Tulsa, OK aunts ,Melinda Starr Clarence of Coffeyville, KS and Gloria Graham James of Junction City, KS greataunt Claretha Wooten of Coffeyville, KS nieces raised as siblings Ashley Colbert of Wichita, KS Alivia Alston Terrell of Oklahoma City, OK Carrisa Castorena of Coffeyville, KS.

The family will be conducting a Home Going Service on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Johns Church in Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Gary Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the assistance of FordWulfBruns Chapel. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at FordWulfBruns Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The family has suggested memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home or family to help defray the cost of funeral expense.
