William Frank Bill Weakley 1918-2005 William Frank Bill Weakley, 86, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2005,at Tulsa Regional Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mr. Weakley was born October 22, 1918, in Nowata Oklahoma to Clay E. and Bessie F. Weakley. He attended school in Nowata, Oklahoma. Mr. Weakley served in the Army Air Corps from 1942 until 1946. On June 29, 1946, he married Elizabeth Lee Libby Weakley at the First Baptist Church in Coffeyville, Kansas. The couple resided in Nowata, Oklahoma until 1960 when they relocated to South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. He was a charter member of the Southern Baptist Believers Church in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. Mr. Weakley faithfully served many years as a Sunday School Teacher. Mr. Weakley was employed for many years as a grocery store manager at local grocery stores. He retired in 1992 from NuWay Foodliner in Coffeyville, Kansas. He is survived by one daughter Carol Clifford Perkins of South Coffeyville; two sons Bill Weakley, Jr. of Wichita, Kansas and Walter Toni Weakley of Coffeyville, Kansas. Grandchildren Todd Weakley, Jon Weakley and Christy Bonta all of Wichita, Kansas and Walter Weakley, Jr. of Glendale, California; Cindy Gabel, Coffeyville, Kansas; Denyse and Jessica Weakley, South Coffeyville; and Sara Lang of Las Vegas, Nevada; 8 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will take place 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 17, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Coffeyville, Kansas with burial following the service in the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery in Nowata, Oklahoma. Mr. Weakley will lie in state from 1-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.
