Helen Elizabeth Garner, 81, of Coffeyville, Kansas, passed away on August 20, 2020 at her home surrounded by loving family.

Helen is survived by her loving husband, David H. Garner, of the home along with her precious dog, Peanut. She is survived by her five daughters, Jackie Everitt, Sherry Messner, Tammy Christmore, Julie Northup and Tina Daniel, all of Coffeyville, Kansas, 13 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.  David's children; Tonja Garner of Texas, Dalynne Fowler of Missouri, Scott Garner of Missouri and 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lolyd Jackson, Edward Gillman and Ruby Gillman (Prescott) (Kristy) and her son, Robert L. McBeath, Jr., and son-in-law, Dave Beeson.

Helen was born in Independence, Kansas August 17, 1939 and graduated from Labette High School. She worked at Sears in Coffeyville, Kansas and worked for V & S Shopping Center for many years. Many friends would stop by the store just to chat with Helen because she had a way of putting a smile on your face with her keen sense of humor.

Helen married Robert L. McBeath, Sr. on September 18, 1958 and they raised their 6 children on a small rural farm in Coffeyville, they later divorced. She had a great love for her family. Above all else she loved her children "chicks" as she lovingly called them. She also enjoyed Elvis, horses, chickens, rabbits, and many other animals. Helen loved her family and had many friends. She bowled on a league for many years and traveled with her bowling ladies and had many stories to tell about their fun trips.

Helen met and married David H. Garner on October 3,1977 and she and David loved family, camping and traveling. One of her favorite trips was to Branson Missouri. They also loved to see who could catch the biggest fish at one of their ponds.

Helen's wishes were to be cremated and not to hold a service. Her family members respect her wishes and will celebrate her life in their own way.  Memorial gifts may be made payable to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and may be left in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave. Coffeyville, Kansas 67337.  To leave an online message of condolence for her family visit www.fordwulfbrunschapel.com .
