Shatia Lanette Shaw “Tia” age 45 of Lawton, Oklahoma gained her wings on August 11, 2022, at home in Lawton.
Tia was born on December 15, 1976, to Anthony Thames and Pamela Kendrex Thames in Coffeyville, Kansas. Tia enjoyed life, before her health failed, she enjoyed working as an Assistant GM at the Hilton Garden inn and later a Specialist with the Red Cross. She cherished spending time with her family, friends, and her grandchildren. One of her favorite pastimes was listening to music and watching her children dance. She was an amazing daughter, wife and mother she had a special relationship with all four of her children. Later in life she enjoyed travel vacations with her husband of 23 years, Harvey Shaw.
Those she spent a lifetime loving will miss her most and will continue to cherish those days are her husband Harvey Shaw of Lawton, Oklahoma; her children, Xavier Thames of Memphis, Tennessee, Myykhail Shaw and Terrell Shaw of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Ariyanna Shaw of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Two grandchildren, Tate Shaw and Sa’Riyah Shaw; two brothers, DeAntwoni Kendrex and Michael Thames of Independence Kansas; two sisters, Ellissia Clark and her husband Larry Clark of Independence, Kansas, Charell Strickland of Little Rock, Arkansas; and a host of aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 1:30pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas. Tia will be laid to rest near her family at Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville Kansas.
