Tony Mullens

Tony R Mullens age 62 of Coffeyville passed away on August 1, 2019 at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

Tony was born on May 22, 1957 in Coffeyville to Nellie (Smith) and Jerome Mullens. He was raised by his grandparents John and Nellie Mullens in Coffeyville and lived in Texas for just a short while as a boy.

Tony was united in marriage to Thelma Gregory on May 24, 1976. With this union Tony gained two daughters.

Mr. Mullens was a hard-worker and held an assortment of careers throughout his life, from working at the mill, Acme Foundry, driving a cab, and even had his own lawn service. Tony was a member of the First Baptist Church of Coffeyville. Tony enjoyed scrapping junk, fishing, bowling, traveling, camping, and teaching bible study.

Tony’s memories will live on with his wife Thelma, stepdaughters Donna Thompson and Sheila Patton, half-brothers Ronny Mullens and Jerry Mullens and half-sister Cheryl Maida

Honoring Tony’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel and the family will hold a memorial service at the First Baptist Church in Coffeyville on August 17, 2019 at 10am.  The family suggests memorials be given to assist with final expenses.
