William Mann

William (Bill) Franklin Mann, age 72 of South Coffeyville, OK passed away on October 2, 2019 at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa, OK.

Bill was born February 14, 1947 to William and Mary Mann.  He grew up in the Coffeyville area, and graduated High School at Field Kindley in 1965.  He then served 4 years in the US Army, during the Vietnam War.  He was honorably discharged in 1968.

Bill was proud life member of the VFW Post 1022 where he served on several committees including a short term as Manager.

In 1970 he married Patricia McCauley.  From that union they had one son, Shayne Mann.  Bill also raised 4 children of Patricia’s by a previous marriage, Trisha, Diane, Kim and Chris.  Bill and Patricia were later divorced.

Bill loved to play golf with all his friends at Coffeyville Country Club.  He also sponsored several pool leagues and was an avid player, winning many awards over the years.

Survivors include his son, Shayne and wife Tammy and their two sons, Wyatt and Dylan of Hume, MO; one sister, Sharon Gilstrap-Hughes and husband Russell of Bernice, OK; Sharon’s daughter Lori and son Todd, nephew Mike Mann, and Bill’s dearest, lifelong friend Richard Keeton of Round Rock, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronnie Mann.

Cremation will take place under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel of Coffeyville.  A celebration of life service will be announced at a future date.  At the announced date, Military Honors will be provided by the VFW Post 1022/American Legion Post 20 of Coffeyville.  The family has requested memorials be made payable to VFW Post 1022 Building Fund, 1714 W 8th St, Coffeyville, KS 67337.  Contributions may be left in care of or mailed to Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, KS 67337.  To leave a message of condolence for the family visit www.fordwulfbrunschapel.com
